A memorable Xmas

Merry Christmas

It was an enjoyable and memorable Xmas of Dec-2012. An evening filled with activities like prayer, outing, entertainment and eating. With whom? None other than my affectionate friend and companion, Siva. He appeared at his best in good colours.

A visit to the Santhome Basilica to offer prayer and light candles gave fullness to my soul. Of course, it was the first visit to Santhome church in the lifetime for me and him. Had it been for midnight mass, it wouldn't have been possible to register our foot fall. I was craving to shoot before sunset from different angles of the church.

A drive along the service lane on the Marina was cool with a festive atmosphere that engulfed the air. The drive made me recall the history of the erstwhile colonial Madras starting from Thousand lights, VTI, Blackie & Sons, Spencer, Banquet Hall, Thomas Manro, War Memorial, Napier Iron Bridge, University, Ice House and Santhome. Siva, a vivid listener, sharpened ears to hear me in spite of the suppressing wind.

Vroom... off the road we disappeared into the darkness decorated with the dotted lights on the arterial road of Chennai. Express Avenue tempted us to drop in which we graciously scheduled for Newyear Eve.
